Our Backstory
For over half a century, Alta Aluminum built a remarkable legacy of excellence in Lethbridge and the surrounding area. As a family-owned business led by Tony Pigat and his dedicated realtives, Alta Aluminum became synonymous with quality craftsmanship and exceptional service, concentrating in specialized aluminum products.
With a focus on precise attention to detail, Alta Aluminum utilized sturdy aluminum cladded wood wall construction, and insulated roof panels for the construction of sunrooms and patio covers. These innovative techniques created stunning sunrooms that enhanced any home, providing a beautiful addition for year-round enjoyment.
The Deck Centre, on the other hand, formerly established a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship in the hands of the founder and operator for many decades, Rod Banda. The business was later passed on to his son, who combined The Deck Centre with the family business, Alta Aluminum, expanding the company's range of outdoor living solutions.
Specializing in the construction of decks, landings, and stair systems, The Deck Centre focused on premium surfacing materials, including composite decking and Duradek vinyl membranes. As the exclusive Duradek dealer in Lethbridge, The Deck Centre offers the industry's leading brand of vinyl decking. Once again, providing homeowners with high quality, low-maintenance, and durable outdoor spaces designed for years of enjoyment.
The Merge of Alta Aluminum & The Deck Centre
Alta Aluminum and the former Deck Centre merged in 2022, forming Southern Alberta's first all-inclusive outdoor living centre. With a history of over 50 years, Alta Aluminum brought expertise in specialty aluminum products and sunrooms, while The Deck Centre brought decades worth of knowledge in custom deck builds and resurfacing.
Combining these strengths and knowledge, the redesigned Deck Centre delivers unparalleled outdoor living solutions aiming to help you fully enjoy your outdoor living oasis, especially during our short and beautiful summers.
